The Grand Pacific Drive in New South Wales on your way from Sydney to Melbourne is a route which brings you to the most beautiful places along the coast of New South Wales (NSW) and Victoria.
Key locations in NSW:
Leaving Sydney and heading south on Princes Hwy to Royal National Park.
Either taking the road through the park or passing by continuing on the Princes Hwy.
Leave the highway and head to Stanwell Tops for great views and a little later you’ll reach Sea Cliff Bridge. There are parking spaces at the end of the bridge where you have fantastic views. Coming from north heading south, shortly before the southern end of the bridge (on the north lane of the street) there’s a maybe 2-car parking spot where a mini trail (path) leads to the top of the cliff where you would be able to look on Sea Cliff Bridge from the top. It is a very narrow, steep path and you need good shoes.
After Sea Cliff Bridge you are heading towards Austinmer and later Wollongong. In Austinmer make a stop at Shells Diner and have a sandwich or fish & chips.
Driving further south along the coast to Wollongong and Shellharbour.
