Eden is a fishing town located at Twofold Bay and nowadays top whale watching location in Australia during the annual migration of Humpback Whales during May and early November.

Nearby popular spots for visitors to watch out for whales are: Ben Boyd National Park and Green Cape Lookout / Lighthouse. Green Cape Lookout offers vast views of the coast and has a fur seals colony, and you can watch other wildlife like dolphins, gannets, albatross, and eagles.

Besides exploring the costal vantage points around Eden you can discover the town and relax a little in that slow-paced part of the world: Eden’s harbor and fishing boats, Eden Killer Whale Museum, the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre (Eden Wharf), Eden Whale Trail.

The annual Eden Whale Festival takes place in November.

Eden is approx. 6 hours drive away from Sydney as well as Melbourne and part of the Grand Pacific Drive.
