Tillamook Cheese
Tillamook is located on Highway 101 ca. 40 miles south of Cannon Beach, 75 mi south of Astoria, and approx. 110 mi west of Portland.
Tillamook – Tillamook County, stands nationwide for ‘Cheese’. It was in 1909 when the farmers of Tillamook County formed the Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA).
Tillamook has a population a little above 4.000 people but 6 times that many cows. When driving along Highway 101 make a stop in Tillamook and tour the visitor’s center and try all the different cheeses or buy some.
They are also known for its delicious Ice Cream.
