Harley-Davidson friends waited a long time for the new Museum that was nearly 150 years in the planning. The Harley-Davidson Museumâ„¢ in Milwaukee opened July 12, 2008, its doors after a 2-year construction time.
The 20 acres Museum site sits right in downtown Milwaukee and visitors will not only be able to enjoy the interior and exhibitions but also the overall industrial-style museums architecture from the outside or stroll along the river walk and enjoy Milwaukee’s skyline.
The exhibitions tell stories of the extraordinary people, products, history and culture of Harley-Davidson.
An interesting idea are the ‘Living the Legend’ walls and plazas where visitoirs can read personalized messages created by individuals worldwide on the Living the Legendâ„¢ rivets.
