Autostadt (CarCity) / VW Themepark

In the 25 hectare of park and lakes you can embark on a fascinating journey of discovery in the world of automobiles. Get information on the plans and visions of the Volkswagen Group and its brands and participate first hand in their latest developments.

New permanent exhibition

Another interesting take on the theme of sustainability can be found at the new permanent exhibition entitled ‛Level Green‘ at VW‘s Autostadt automotive exhibition complex and visitor centre. The concept of sustainability is dealt with in an interactive and entertaining way and complemented by aesthetic architectural components. Six themed areas with a total of 25 exhibits covering around 1,000m² combine with walk-through exhibition architecture to form an ‛interactive space for sustainability‘. The exhibition received the international red dot award for communication design with the quality hallmark ‛red dot: best of the best‘.

AutoMuseum Volkswagen

In an area of about 5000 square meters 1140 exhibitions are displayed. Visitors get a comprehensive impression of automobile history, from old-timers, various design-studies, up to prototypes.

phæno - Die Experimentierlandschaft

Germany's unique Experimental Landscape embedded in spectacular architecture by Zaha Hadid. On an activity area covering over 9,000 square metres, phæno's guests have a host of multifarious opportunities to discover and explore the thrilling world of these phenomena. 250 interactive Experimental Stations form the centre of attraction, which invite visitors to try things out for themselves and follow their own research inclinations.

Wolfsburg Planetarium

With the aid of cutting edge technology the Wolfsburg planetarium portrays lifelike views of the starry night sky, sun and moon. A myriad of fiber optics supplies more than 9000 twinkling, brilliant stars. Uncounted microprocessors control special projectors and allow planets to jump through years and millennia in the blink of an eye.
