Brahms Festival (early May),

Organ recitals in the five Gothic city churches, the cultural project “Wagner meets Mann“, the Brahms Festival (early May) and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (mid July until end of August) focussing on the music nation Germany on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Wall, as well as the exhibition “A book writes history” on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of “Die Blechtrommel“ (The Tin Drum) in the Günter-Grass house (September 2009 through January 2010) promise further cultural enjoyment.
The Nordic Film Days (end of October) are considered as the most important showcase of the Nordic films in Europe.
